Amanda Baughan is a Product Manager of AI & UX at Maincode. She previously earned her PhD in Computer Science from the University of Washington, where she studied human–computer interaction and social computing at the intersection of design, psychology, and technology. Her research explored how technology foregrounds or prevents connection online, and has been featured by the Wall Street Journal, Scientific American, and NPR. She was previously a UX Researcher at Google Maps and AI2’s Semantic Scholar, and she continues to teach design ethics at the University of Washington Information School.
